Time.

As we are nearing the close of the first month of the new year, it is interesting to me to ponder how quickly time flies and how quickly the future is coming. 2007 I am sure will bring many new challenges, adventures, obstacles, and escapades, as it already has in the premier month. Just yesterday I learned how to change fuses in my car, that taking the extra time and effort to be organized DOES pay off, accidents happen (and there is no use crying over spilled milk) studying is worth it (thus far I do indeed have 100's on all of my assignments), skipping class is NOT worth it, and naps might possibly be my new favourite activity (unfortunately they do not count toward my weekly hours of exercise involved with my wellness project: though creative writing does!).

Perhaps the class that gets me through my 8 hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays is my last night class, American Government. Every night I look forward with eager anticipation, knowing concretely that I will get to hear a tossed salad of debates, opinions, arguments, fights, and criticisms. Smothered with caustic sarcasm and sprinkled with good humour. Oh, the joys of politics. From Saddam's execution, to the anti-democratic spirit of the founding fathers, art's relation to politics (personally one of my favourite subjects), war, money (which the conclusion has been drawn is the reason behind government to begin with), Wolf Blitzer biting into Dick Cheney and Dick biting back, and the story of President Bush remarking that he would continue to fight this war even if only Laura and Barney were behind him.

But the relation between American Government and the passing of time is the 2008 elections are coming, with Godspeed. It is likely that 2008 will bring many drastic changes to the White House and the United States of America. We are truly living history in the making. (A mile stone in my own life, I get to vote this election!!) Of course, there is no doubt in my mind who will receive my vote that I shall place as a dutiful American citizen. (and probably no doubt in yours either who it is.)

Yes, I do believe an American revolution is going to take the world by storm. But who better to lead the American people than the most trusted name in news?
