The art of procrastination

The past two weeks have left a lot on my mind. It's difficult to take the time to sort out and contemplate life when it comes at one so quickly.

One dilemma, disease, social issue, that I have come across that has been weighing heavily on my mind: Procrastination is synonymous with college students.

Everyone procrastinates. Some more than others.

Personally, I work well under pressure. Nonetheless, it is so easy to fall into the pit of thought that because I don't procrastinate as much as my friends/roommates/enemies, I am alright and will do just fine. And that is definitely below my standards that I decide independently for myself.

But then, I must ask myself, is procrastination a bad thing?

On the one hand, it forces me to hand in my work within a very short window of time. As aforementioned, pressure is GOOD. It means I get it done and work hard on it. (Because I feel an invisible force pushing me to JUST DO IT)

On the other hand, because of this short window of time, I cannot invest as much TIME into projects/studying as might be necessary. Oftentimes, producing a less than perfect outcome.

I doubt anything will change in regards to procrastinating anytime soon, but at least I'm contemplating it. Or perhaps, I'm merely using that as an excuse to procrastinate.
